With the unexpected release of the Nubia V70 Design—known in some areas as the ZTE Blade V70 Design—ZTE is expanding its mid-range product line. Prior to its November 28th release, the phone is presently available for pre-order in the Philippines.

Nubia V70 Design Specifications

In addition to the traditional black and rose pink glass finishes, this version sets itself apart from the conventional Nubia V70/Blade V70 by offering two vegan leather back options: orange and jade green. Vegan leather offers a distinctive look and possibly a more tactile feel, although some people might prefer the high-end feel of glass.

Beyond the backplate, the Nubia V70 Design follows a well-known pattern. The HD+ IPS LCD panel used in the 6.7-inch display has a steady refresh rate of 120 Hz.

However, there is a minor distinction in the camera area. It forgoes the 108MP primary sensor of the V70 in favour of a more affordable 50MP model. The 16MP selfie camera is still there, tucked away in a discrete punch-hole cutout.

A Unisoc T606 CPU, a popular option for earlier V-series models, powers the V70 Design’s internal components. It has a huge 256GB of storage to make up for its meagre 4GB of RAM.

There is a 5,000mAh battery that keeps everything running. However, with only 22.5W supported, charging is still a little slow. In terms of software, the V70 Design will debut with MyOS 14, which is based on Android 14. Additionally, Live Island 2.0, an imitation of Apple’s Dynamic Island, is supported.

Price and Availability

The Nubia V70 Design is available for pre-order by Filipino customers on well-known e-commerce sites Lazada, Shopee, and even TikTok. The phone’s MSRP, or manufacturer’s suggested retail price, is PHP 5,300, or around $100 USD.
