Xiaomi Releases the Redmi K80 Series, which is Powered by the Qualcomm SD 8 Series: Details Here

The new Redmi K80 series smartphones have been released in China by the electronics company Xiaomi. The Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro are the two devices in the series. The standard model is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip from the previous year, while the Pro model is the more expensive choice and comes with the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Redmi K80 series: Details

The Redmi K80 series’ two smartphones each have a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 2K resolution. The display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a maximum brightness of 3200 nits, and compatibility for Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+ for suitable content.

Both devices have a 50MP primary camera sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) for photography. But the Pro variant also features a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS capability and an extra 32MP ultra-wide camera. The 8MP ultra-wide sensor is included with the base model. A 20MP front camera is included with both devices for taking selfies.

Battery capacity-wise, the Pro model has a 6000mAh battery, while the standard model has a larger 6550mAh battery. With 120W cable charging and 50W wireless charging, the Pro model also offers faster charging than the ordinary model, which only has 90W wired charging.

Both smartphones’ IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust protection are additional features. Both variants come pre-installed with the Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 UI, which is based on Android 15.
