The main characteristics of the soon-to-be-released Vivo V40 series have been announced. The V30 series, which includes the V30 Lite, will be replaced by Vivo’s new midrange line, which is already offered in the nation.
The main camera island on the V40 series has undergone a significant design makeover; it now has a round Aura light instead of the square one found on the V30 series. Given that the V series is all about cameras, the Pro will have a triple rear setup while the regular V40 will have a dual setup.
Each camera will have a 50 MP primary with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP selfie. An additional 50MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and OIS is included with the Pro. Both the front and rear cameras have a 4K 30 frames per second video recording limit.
Their 6.78-inch curved OLED screens will have a brightness of 4500 nits and a resolution of 1.5K. In contrast, the maximum brightness of the V30 screen is 2800 nits.
Similar to its predecessor, the standard V40 will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, while the Pro will have a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. They will come pre-installed with FuntouchOS 15 and Android 15.
The Vivo V40 series will use 6000mAh batteries and allow 80W wired charging, just like its forthcoming flagships.
Under-display fingerprint scanners and IP68 ingress protection for dust and water resistance are two more anticipated features. As is to be expected from the V series, they will have slender profiles.
