It has been announced that the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro will debut in China on May 30. The lineup will take over for the December 2023 release of the Vivo S18 series. The upcoming Vivo S19 series’ design and some of its primary features have been verified by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. Up to three rear cameras and the Aura light, which is also included on the company’s V series of smartphones, are hinted at for the devices.

It has been announced that the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro would have dual and triple rear camera systems, respectively, with a 50-megapixel primary camera at the forefront. On the back panel, they will also have Vivo’s Aura light, as per the product microsite on Vivo’s Chinese website. A 6,000mAh battery will also be included with the phones.

The base Vivo S19 is rumoured to come with a 7.19mm shell and a “ultra-thin straight screen.” Colour options include black, peach, and white. It has also been verified that the Vivo S19 Pro boasts a curved display. Its release in green, grey, and white colorways has been hinted about.

According to a Weibo tweet by tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo S19 series will have 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screens with a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits. A MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC may power the Pro model, while a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC is expected to power the standard model.

It is reported that the 50-megapixel selfie cameras on both Vivo S19 phones are part of their photographic specifications. It is anticipated that the regular model will have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera in addition to a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS capability, the 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, and the 50-megapixel telephoto sensor with 50x digital zoom are reportedly included in the Pro version.

It is anticipated that the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro will accommodate 80W wired fast charging. The standard model of the phone is probably going to be rated IP64, while the Pro version might be rated IP69, IP68, or IP64 for different levels of dust and splash protection.
