The ‘Truecaller for Web’ service, which enables users to search for unknown numbers and access their Truecaller SMS inbox on their web browser for enhanced convenience and protection, was released on Wednesday by Sweden-based Truecaller, a spam blocker and caller ID programme.
According to the business, Truecaller for Web is now only accessible on Android devices, although it is compatible with all web browsers on Windows and Mac. Users can see, send, and receive Truecaller Chat messages as well as SMS messages.
Once linked, the user’s SMS, IMs, and business messages are shown in an easy-to-read layout on the web interface, which loads rapidly.Users have the ability to attach numerous files (up to 100 MB), enter messages using a computer keyboard, and mark communications as urgent.
Furthermore, customers may be informed and connected at all times using the web platform’s real-time call alert notifications for incoming calls and texts.
“Just like on the mobile app, Truecaller does not access or read any messages and the link between the app and desktop client is always encrypted. We want to stay true to our commitment of elevating the communication experience while ensuring accessibility and safety across each interaction,” explained Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Truecaller’s managing director for India and chief product officer.
