To the tunes of “Eye of the Tiger,” Tiger Woods made his TGL debut on Tuesday, although his team was the prey rather than the predator in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

In the second-ever match of the new simulated golf league, Los Angeles Golf Club defeated Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club 12-1.

Woods shared the pitch with Kevin Kisner and Max Homa. Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, and Justin Rose of England make up the LAGC.

At Palm Beach State College’s SoFi Centre, near Tiger Woods’ home base in Jupiter, Florida, guests included Serena Williams and Woods’ son Charlie.

“Charlie tried to give us a pep talk, which was just him saying we aren’t really good,” Homa explained after his team fell behind 8-1. “I don’t know if that was a pep talk, but our spirits are still high.”

Woods’ powerful approach shot on No. 6 set up Jupiter Links’ lone point, but LAGC controlled the rest of the game.

On the second hole, Woods’ drive had discovered a simulated water hazard earlier.

Woods explained, “I have no idea what the hell happened.” “I don’t make much progress. I’m not sure how it got that far with my former physique.

Theegala’s eagle on the par-5 15th hole ended the match.

The following three games are Boston vs. LAGC on February 4, Jupiter Links vs. Boston Common Golf on January 27, and New York Golf Club vs. Atlanta Drive Golf Club on January 21.

The Bay Golf Club defeated New York Golf Club 9-2 in the first game last week.
