The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is poised to be a noteworthy evolution from its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, offering a sleeker and more portable design. According to a report from the South Korean outlet Chosun Daily, this new foldable smartphone from Samsung is expected to launch in September, marking the latest addition to the company’s innovative lineup.
Following its initial release in South Korea, the Z Fold 6 Slim is also anticipated to enter the Chinese market shortly thereafter. However, this model might not be made available on a global scale, potentially bypassing key markets such as India, Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The Z Fold 6 Slim is rumored to bring not only a more compact design but also upgraded features, including a more robust processor and improved camera technology. Although Samsung has not yet officially confirmed these details, the buzz surrounding this device is growing, particularly in South Korea and China, where its release is highly anticipated.
This new model is expected to be Samsung’s slimmest foldable phone yet, with a thickness of just over 10mm, significantly thinner than the regular Z Fold 6, which measures 12.1mm. This reduction in size has been achieved by eliminating support for the S Pen, allowing Samsung to dispense with the 0.3mm film required for S Pen functionality.
In terms of display, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim is set to feature larger screens, boasting a 6.5-inch exterior display and an 8-inch internal screen. These are upgrades from the 6.3-inch and 7.6-inch screens found on its predecessor. The device is expected to come in a sleek black finish and be priced at around 2.8 million won.
Samsung is reportedly collaborating with its partners to make the display and camera components even more compact, with the goal of reducing the device’s thickness by an additional 0.1mm. This focus on minimizing size while enhancing functionality reflects Samsung’s ongoing commitment to making its foldable devices more portable and user-friendly, setting new standards in the market for foldable smartphones.
