In Combined Counties Premier South, the Jersey Bulls crushed Chipstead 8-1, recording their best victory of the year.

They are still undefeated under Elliott Powell since he took over as manager in the summer, and the win was their eighth straight and their 12th in 13 games.

With four and three games remaining, respectively, the islanders sit nine points behind leaders Whyteleafe and second-place Redhill.

Jonny Le Quesne doubled the score four minutes after Luke Watson gave the Bulls the lead in the eighth minute.

Prior to three Bulls goals in a 13-minute second-half burst, Le Quesne scored his second goal in first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0 at the interval.

Melford Simpson quickly gave the home team a response after Watson’s penalty kick in the 58th minute.

However, Kieran Lester scored the Bulls’ sixth with 19 minutes remaining, after Joe Kilshaw had made it 5-1 after 63 minutes.

Two goals in quick succession with five minutes remaining sealed the victory: Sammy Sutcliffe’s close-range finish and Kilshaw’s conversion of Harry Curtis’ pullback.

The Bulls’ most recent eight-goal game was an 8-0 victory over Sheerwater in February 2022.

In August 2021, they defeated Horsham YMCA 10-1 in their first-ever FA Cup match, setting a new record.
