Today marks the official introduction of Tata Motors’ Curvv coupe-SUV in India. Prices for the Curvv EV will only be revealed today, while the ICE Curvv will also be on display. In September 2024, the Tata Curvv’s ICE variant will be available for purchase in India.

The Curvv EV’s appearance is largely derived from the concept car that debuted in April 2022. It has many EV-specific stylistic features, including a broad central air dam, vertically positioned LED headlamps, end-to-end connected LED DRLs, and a covered grille. The car’s charging outlet is located up front because it is constructed on the same Acti.ev platform as the Punch EV. While the ICE version has several distinct features, such a different alloy wheel design and a genuine grille up front, it still has many of the same visual cues.

The interior of the Curvv ICE and Curvv EV will resemble that of many other Tata vehicles and include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen entertainment system (both made by Harman). A nine-speaker JBL music system, a voice-activated panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, an illuminated logo on a 4-spoke steering wheel, automatic temperature control, a motorised tailgate with gesture control, a wireless charger and an air purifier are among the additional features. A 360-degree surround-view system, a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, and ventilated front seats are additional noteworthy features.

The Curvv EV is anticipated to have a battery pack with a capacity of between 50 and 60 kWh and a range exceeding 500 kilometres. Tata has stated in the past that it can provide single- and dual-motor variations on this architecture, but it is unclear if those options will be offered for the Curvv. In addition, a 7.2 kW charger and vehicle-to-vehicle charging will be included as standard features with the Curvv EV.

On the other side, a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel and a 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol are probably the engine possibilities for the Curvv ICE.

Today, Tata Motors is scheduled to reveal the Curvv EV’s pricing. At the occasion, the Curvv ICE will also be on display.

A few weeks ago, the Tata Curvv ICE and Curvv EV were unveiled. With the exception of a few EV-specific details on the all-electric model, the two cars have comparable designs.

The interior design of the Tata Curvv ICE and Curvv EV will be similar to that of many other Tata vehicles, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
