People love to do a little star-spotting!
A plethora of celebrities have been photographed, frequenting major Target stores up and down the country—far and wide. Some of these famous faces, such actress Jennifer Garner and Victoria Beckham, have longstanding relationships with the mega-brand, while others are just out doing a bit of shopping like the rest of us.
Running to Target can be a mundane chore, but it can be a fun experience, too, especially if you spot a few famous folk on your “run.”
The super-chain often attracts the rich and famous to its stores. Even big names that have 5-star cushy lives. So whether you are the former First Lady—Michelle Obama, Nikki Lund, or Brittney Spears, a trip to the national retailer can often cause a stir on social media.
Ellen DeGeneres
In the past, Adele, Victoria Beckham, Ellen DeGeneres, Sean Borg, Joel Madden, and even Liam Hemsworth, have all been snapped, pushing the trademark “lollypop red” shopping cart through Targets doors.
These days, you never know whom you might bump into on a Target run, and the paparazzi are never too far behind.
Jennifer Garner
Some of these celebrities shop at Target for household items, while others buy clothes. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite stars who seem to love shopping at the U.S superstore.
This list features “all-profile” celebrities who shop at Target—loosely ranked by fame and popularity. Several famous singers and musicians, familiar fashion designers, brand ambassadors, TV hosts, and reality TV stars, who all shop at Target.
Adele
Proving she is just as much of an avid shopper as any of us, Adele was seen at Target the day before her Grammy Award-winning appearance. The British singer was dressed down in a super casual in an all-black outfit, with no makeup. At one point during the lightly-priced shopping spree, she flipped through some kiddie coloring books, presumably for her young son Angelo.
Britney Spears
“Oops, she did it again!” to the tune of 80 times, according to E! News. Singer Britney Spears who went to Target a staggering 80 Times Last Year. According to documents from the music superstar’s conservatorship case, which requires an annual accounting of all the money going in and out of her account, E! News reported the documents listed more than 80 different trips to Target, where she was able to experience all the store’s offerings. Including décor, food, clothes, toys, and more.
Nikki Lund
It’s almost Halloween! And fashion designer; singer Nikki Lund knew precisely where to shop for spooky decorations . Nikki is a regular Target shopper, seen here with a cart full of toys, presumably in preparation for the upcoming ghostly celebrations. The Californian babe left little to the imagination in a revealing sexy outfit on a recent Target run—in Woodland Hills, California. When you’re as famous as Nikki is—there is nothing Target shoppers like more than a good show. Happy Hallowe’en!
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus
In happier times, and way before their split, Miley Cyrus, and her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth went incognito on a Target run, in Los Angeles. Both were dressed casually when a fan spotted them in the checkout line. The former lovebirds picked up a few items from the store, rocking some comfy threads and hats. They purchased two fluffy white pillows, amongst other things, proving they’re just like us. Since then, Liam has shopped solo at various Target stores around the country.
Sean Borg
Former TMZ-turned-Trivago guy—Sean Borg was seen at his favorite Target store in Palm Springs, California. The entertainment personality appeared oblivious to the eagle-eyed paparazzi following him around as he casually shopped for healthy produce in the fruit and veg section.
Heidi Klum
Supermodel Heidi Klum is often seen shopping makeup-free at Target stores around Los Angeles—from Westwood to Hollywood. The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge is probably paid a fortune to promote big-named brands worldwide. So we wonder if the German-born beauty might be on “Tar-Jay’s” payroll?
Former First Lady Michelle Obama
“One thing she loves to do is shop at Target,” President Barack Obama said of his wife in an interview back in 2011. So, even if you are Michelle Obama, everyone needs a little “Tar-Jay” in their lives. The former First Lady proves this to be accurate, after she stopped off for a bit of shopping on Route 1 in Alexandria, VA, to the delight hundreds of fans who couldn’t believe their eyes as her attempt to go incognito failed her—causing a subsequent lockdown at the store.
Joel Madden and Nicole Richie
Joel Madden and Nicole Richie are often spotted shopping together at Target. On this particular trip, they took their children, Harlow and Sparrow toy shopping. The happy couple pushed their cart around just like all the other shoppers, going virually unnoticed, as they filled it with fun stuff for the kids. Harlow got a Disney Princess bike with training wheels. The lucky tots!
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake visited a Target store in Midway in St. Paul, Minnesota, to fill his shopping cart with some of his favorite items and to sign records for some of his biggest fans. The star took to Instagram to say: Just made a #targetrun and got my limited edition vinyl there. Also left a gift for 5 of y’all at the Super @Target in St. Paul, Minnesota (1300 University Ave W, St Paul). Find the manager and give her the code word ‘aardvark.’ #ManoftheWoods #PJMasks #ETtheMovie. A happy shopper, indeed!
Victoria Beckham
We are usually accustomed to the sight of Victoria Beckham, groomed, and sashaying in and out of exclusive designer boutiques. However, proving she is not as posh as her former Spice Girls persona would have us believe. We hear that Mrs. Beckham loves to shop at Target when she’s in Los Angeles. The pop-singer-turned-fashion designer even created her very own range for the giant store, that launched back on Apr 7, 2017.
How lucky is Target, to have so many famous faces endorsing its greatness? Next time I’m on a big “Tar-Jay” run, I shall be sure to keep my eyes wide open, and iPhone at the ready, just in case a star just happens to pass me by pushing their cart. And star-spotting certainly makes shopping a whole lot more fun, we think.
