For the third consecutive year, Real Madrid will play FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final. The Blancos are hoping to win the third title of the season in order to qualify for both the FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

Adding to the trophy they won last year, when they defeated FC Barcelona 4-1 in the final with a hat-trick from Vinícius Júnior as payback for a 3-1 loss to the Catalans, will be the next challenge: winning the 14th Spanish Super Cup.

The King Abdullah Sports City Stadium will host this year’s final on Sunday, January 12 at 10:00 p.m. AST local time, or 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. In addition to each club bringing a few hundred supporters from Spain, it will welcome supporters of both teams, the great majority of whom will be locals from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Real Madrid has won all three of the previous meetings between the two clubs with Jesús Gil Manzano in the middle. He will officiate the game, which will be his fourth Clásico. Each of them has participated in league competition.
