Jacqueline Fernandez arrived at a Delhi court on Thursday morning for the hearing of her petition in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case.
On Thursday, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez arrived at Delhi’s Patiala House court to hear arguments on a bail petition she filed in connection with the 200 crore money laundering case. The case gained prominence ahead of the election season after the main accused, conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, made sensational allegations against AAP and AAP leaders.
The Enforcement Directorate opposed Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez’s bail application on Saturday, telling a Delhi court that she was not an ordinary person with “huge financial resources with a high stature, influence, and deep pockets” who could interfere with the ongoing investigation.
However, Additional Sessions Judge Shailender Malik extended the actor’s interim bail granted on September 26 until November 10. The court was hearing a case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar and the Rs 200-crore money laundering case.
The court had granted interim bail to Fernandez on September 26 with five conditions, including that she wouldn’t leave the country without permission of the court.
“During the course of the investigation, the applicant made an abortive bid to flee India but was barred by the immigration authorities,” ED told the court.
