In the US, Samsung has introduced the S85D, a less expensive OLED TV. It features LG Display’s WRGB OLED panel instead of Samsung Display’s QD-OLED panel and is positioned beneath the S90D. I
The cheapest OLED TV from Samsung, the S85D, is currently offered in the USA.
There are three sizes available for the Samsung S85D OLED TV: 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch. Since LG Display’s OLED panel is used in all of these variations, its colour depth and loudness will not be as good as those of TVs with Samsung Display’s QD-OLED screen. The price range for the 55-inch model is $1,700, while the 77-inch version is $3,400.
- 55-inch S85D (QN55S65DAEXZA): $1,700
- 65-inch S85D (QN65S65DAEXZA): $2,100
- 77-inch S85D (QN77S85DAEXZA): $3,400
Samsung fitted the S85D with an LG 4K OLED display. For fluid gaming, it has AMD FreeSync Premium certification, can be powered at 120Hz, and supports HLG, HDR10, and HDR10+ (Adaptive & Gaming). For AI-powered 4K upscaling, it makes use of the NQ4 AI Gen2 CPU. In addition, ALLM, HGiG, VRR, Mini Map Zoom, and Super Ultra Wide Game View are included.
Its 20W stereo speakers are less powerful than the S90D’s 2.1-channel arrangement. 360 Audio, Adaptive Sound Pro, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Bluetooth Dual Audio (with Buds Auto Switch), Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Lite, and Q-Symphony are some of its audio capabilities. On the left and right margins, it has more basic stands, but it can also be mounted on an attachment that is compatible with VESA 300 x 200.
