As a near sibling of the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro, Oppo has unveiled the Reno 12F 5G. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which powers the new Reno 12 series phone, has two colour options and 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Numerous AI functions are included out of the box, including AI Speak, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Text Summary. The Oppo Reno 12F 5G’s other standout features include an IP64-rated construction, a 5,000mAh battery, and 45W charging capability.
Details on the Oppo Reno 12F 5G’s availability and pricing have not been disclosed by the Chinese tech company.
The price of the Oppo Reno 12 is EUR 499.99 (about Rs. 44,700), while the Oppo Reno 12 Pro, in its 12GB + 256GB variant, is EUR 599.99 (approximately Rs. 53,700).
Oppo Reno 12F 5G specifications
With a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixel) OLED display, a 92.2 percent screen-to-body ratio, 394 ppi pixel density, and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, the dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo Reno 12F operates on ColorOS 14.0. AGC DT-Star 2 glass protection is present on the screen. The device is powered by an eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which is combined with 512GB of UFS2.2 storage and 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Oppo AI suite, which includes AI Speak, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Summary for text, is also included.
The Oppo Reno 12F 5G boasts a triple rear camera configuration, consisting of an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation. The phone has a 32-megapixel camera on the front. This model has the same AI-based camera capabilities as the Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro, including AI Best Face, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, and AI Clear Face. The phone’s construction is rated IP64.
The Oppo Reno 12F 5G has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.3, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port as its connectivity options. An accelerometer, colour temperature sensor, gravity sensor, geomagnetic sensor, infrared control, proximity sensor, and optical sensor are among the sensors on board. It enables facial recognition and has a fingerprint sensor for authentication.
