Launched in July 2023, the Nothing Phone 2 came pre-installed with Nothing OS 2.0, which was based on Android 13. Since then, the phone has been updated to Android 14, and the latest NothingOS 2.5.5 version is currently being downloaded. This release includes bug fixes and other enhancements along with ChatGPT integration. On April 18, Nothing, the company’s newest earphones, debuted the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A.

Nothing announced in a forum post that owners of the Nothing Phone 2 can now utilise the ChatGPT integration functionality with the NothingOS 2.5.5 release. For this to function, users must have the most recent ChatGPT version loaded on their phones from the Play Store.

Additionally, new ChatGPT widgets are included in the NothingOS 2.5.5 release to facilitate ChatGPT launches in various modes from the Phone 2 home screen. With this release, there’s a new button on the screenshot and clipboard pop-up that lets users paste the content immediately into a new ChatGPT conversation.

With the release of NothingOS 2.5.5, the camera on the Nothing Phone 2 is also improved. Ultra XDR is now supported by the phone’s camera. To enable it, go to the Camera settings on the device. An XDR switch is also added to the Camera app’s Photo and Portrait Modes.

Additionally, the most recent version includes a RAM booster option that can be found under Settings > System > RAM Booster. The Phone 2’s Quick Settings feature now includes a Ring Mode option that lets users easily choose between different sound settings. This is part of the NothingOS 2.5.5 upgrade. Users also get new Recorder and Battery widgets and a Glyph Interface Debug Mode in the developer options which is meant to allow app developers to have better Glyph UI control.Additionally, the Phone 2’s NothingOS 2.5.5 upgrade provides enhanced NFC capabilities, Wi-Fi connection stability, and system stability.
