On Thursday, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Miami Dolphins 30-17 in the final game of their three-game Thanksgiving Day schedule in Detroit, led by quarterback Jordan Love, who threw for 274 yards.

With their third win in 11 days, Green Bay sits tied with the Minnesota Vikings and two games behind the Detroit Lions, who lead the NFC North.

Miami’s three-game winning streak was snapped at Lambeau Field, and they are now two games behind Denver for the final AFC playoff position.

Jason Sanders’ 33-yard field goal was the Dolphins’ last option after they had first-and-goal at the 9 in the second quarter.

Then, in the last 96 seconds of the half, Green Bay scored 10 points to make the score 24-3.

Green Bay led 27-3 halfway through the third quarter after Love threw two touchdowns to Jayden Reed, Josh Jacobs scored from one yard out, and Brandon McManus kicked two field goals.

With 2:43 remaining in the third quarter, Miami came back with a 14-yard pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to De’Von Achane and a 2-point conversion throw to Jaylen Waddle, cutting Green Bay’s lead to 27-11.

With 9:33 left, Quay Walker sacked Tagovailoa on fourth down and Rashan Gary stopped Achane on second down, but Green Bay’s goal-line defence rallied.

With 5:02 remaining, McManus made his third field goal of the evening, a 33-yard shot that gave Green Bay the victory.

Miami (5-7) kept up its recent trend of having trouble in frigid weather. At Lambeau Field, the starting temperature was 27 degrees (-2.7 Celsius).

The Packers will go to the Detroit Lions, who lead the NFC North, on Thursday night after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 38–10 on Sunday.

On December 8, Miami will host the New York Jets.
