On July 4, Motorola, a smartphone brand owned by Lenovo in China, released the Razr 50 Ultra in India. The flip-style foldable smartphone was unveiled last month and features a full-sized cover display with Google Gemini assistant integration for convenient access without having to unfold the phone. A dual-camera setup with a 2x zoom telephoto combined with the primary wide-angle sensor and an IPX8 water resistant rating are two other noteworthy improvements.

In India, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is available for Rs 99,999 with 12GB RAM and 512GB of on-board storage. Moto Buds Plus earphones are included with the flip-style foldable phone.

Motorola is providing a complimentary three-month subscription to Google’s One AI premium service with the Razr 50 Ultra smartphone. Users will then be able to utilise Google’s most recent AI models to unlock Gemini Advanced capabilities. Together with 2TB of cloud storage, the subscription offers Gemini AI connectivity with a number of Google products, including Docs, Gmail, and more.

Motorola Razr 50 Ultra: AI features
Google Gemini-powered artificial intelligence functions are available on the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. These include Portrait Light, which improves the lighting and background for better portrait pictures, Photo Unblur, which sharpens images, and Magic Eraser, which lets users eliminate undesired things from images. Additionally, the smartphone receives support for Gemini assistant on the cover display, which enables users to communicate with the AI-powered assistant without opening the device.
The Razr 50 Ultra also has the company’s exclusive Moto AI features in addition to these Gemini AI functions. This includes generative AI tools like Style Sync, which creates personalised backgrounds, and AI Magic Canvas, which lets users create images using text prompts. Additionally, Motorola has integrated Moto AI functionalities into the Razr 50 Ultra’s camera system. Among these features are AI Adaptive Stabilisation, which utilises AI to detect movement while filming and modifies the stabilisation, and AI Action Shot, which optimises shots for motion capture. The AI Photo Enhancement Engine also enhances the shots’ dynamic range to produce photographs with greater detail.
