Microsoft launched its AI-powered consumer assistant, Copilot Pro, in January and is now expanding its $20 monthly subscription to other markets. Copilot Pro is now accessible in 222 countries as a result of the expansion, and Microsoft is encouraging customers to subscribe to its AI future by offering a free one-month trial.
If you currently have Microsoft 365 Personal or Home, Copilot Pro gives you access to Copilot inside Office products, preferential access to the newest OpenAI models, and the opportunity to create your own Copilot GPT. In order to utilise the chatbot inside Word, Outlook, and other free web apps, you no longer need a separate Microsoft 365 subscription as Microsoft is now unlocking Copilot Pro inside the Office web apps.
Soon, mobile apps will also support this Copilot Pro connection. According to Divya Kumar, general manager of search and AI marketing at Microsoft, “we’ll extend this benefit to our free mobile apps as well, including the Microsoft 365 app and Outlook for iOS and Android, in the coming months.”
Installing the Copilot app on iOS or Android is required in order to take advantage of the free month offer when attempting to test out Copilot Pro. Since the Copilot mobile app’s launch at the end of 2023, Microsoft has been attempting to get users to utilise it. One such attempt was a Super Bowl commercial that only highlighted the mobile version.
Additionally, Microsoft is expanding the number of organisations that may access its Copilot for Microsoft 365. In the upcoming weeks, Kumar says, “Customers who have Microsoft 365 F3 and F1, Office 365 E1, Business Basic, and more will be eligible to purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365.”
Microsoft is currently preparing to unveil additional Copilot enhancements in the upcoming months, including some Windows 11 adjustments that will probably be covered in full at the business’s Build developer conference in May.
