Today, JSW MG Motor India will introduce the Windsor EV to the nation. After SAIC Motor of China and JSW Group of India formed a joint venture, this will be the first new model to be released.

Following the ZS EV and the Comet EV, the Windsor EV is MG’s third electric vehicle sold in India.

The MG Windsor EV is expected to be India’s first crossover utility vehicle (CUV), competing with vehicles such as the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV400. It will be produced at the company’s Halol factory in Gujarat, just like all other MG vehicles.

For those who are unaware, the MG Windsor EV is the Wuling Cloud, a born-electric car, in Indian version. Its futuristic design is primarily due to this.

The exterior has 18-inch alloy wheels, a floating roof design, flush door handles, and all-LED illumination (headlights, taillights, and DRLs).

The dimensions of the MG Windsor EV are 1,850 mm in width, 1,652 mm in height, and 4,295 mm in length. With a wheelbase that is 2,700 mm longer than the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, there is a lot of room within the cabin. Its enormous 604 litre boot is available for use.

The largest 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the interior is used to control the majority of the features. Additional features include a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, automatic climate control with a physical panel (unlike the Wuling Cloud), and a panoramic sunroof. The ‘Innovative Connectivity Platform’ (MG-Jio ICP) will come standard on the car.

There is a 60:40 split and a 135-degree recline angle on the back seat. Three-point seatbelts and headrests are provided for each passenger. It’s surprising that the rear AC vent is the only one. The tailboard of the car is powered and has electrical operation.

The global specifications A permanent magnet synchronous motor with two LFP battery options—50.6kWh and 37.9kWh—is featured in Wuling Cloud.
