The 5G Vivo Y28 has been released worldwide. With up to 16GB of dynamic RAM, the smartphone—which replaces the Vivo Y27s 5G—is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. It has an IP64-rated construction and comes pre-installed with Funtouch OS 14 on top of Android 14. Additionally, the phone has a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup.

The Vivo Y28s 5G’s dual back camera system is housed in a rectangular module in the upper left corner. Within the island, the two sensors are positioned vertically next to an LED flash unit in distinct circular units. In contrast, the front camera is located at the top of the flat display, inside a centrally located waterdrop notch. On the right edge are the volume rocker and power button.
The Vivo Y28s 5G comes in two colour options: Twinkling Purple and Mocha Brown, and it features a glossy appearance.

The 6.56-inch HD+ (1,612 x 720 pixels) LCD screen on the Vivo Y28s 5G has a brightness level of 840 nits and a refresh rate of 90Hz. A MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage power the device. The phone supports microSD cards up to 1TB, and the RAM can be practically increased by an additional 8GB. Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, is pre-installed on the device.
Regarding the camera department, the Vivo Y28s 5G has an 8-megapixel front sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Additionally, it has an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating.
A 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support powers the Vivo Y28s 5G. It can also be connected by dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, 5G, USB Type-C, and NFC in some areas, including Europe, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio port.
