Mahindra Scorpio N Black & Carbon Editions are Now Available

Mahindra has introduced the Scorpio N Carbon Edition in India, and it costs ₹19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the carmaker is getting ready to launch the Scorpio N Black Edition by taking influence from Tata’s Dark Edition series. Subtle exterior and interior design enhancements will make this special version look more expensive.
Mahindra Scorpio N Black Feature and Design
The Scorpio N Carbon Edition is distinguished by its sparse use of chrome across the body.
Door: The window side moulding and door handles, which were previously chromed, are now blacked out.
Roof and wheels: The 17-inch alloy wheels and roof rails also have this ominous vibe.
The front: The fascias of the two Mahindra Scorpio N models don’t appear to differ. On both SUV models, the headlights, taillights, LED DRLs, and LED fog lamps are all the same.
Side: You can quickly distinguish between the two versions in profile. The Scorpio N Black version has alloy wheels, blacked-out roof rails, dechromed door handles, and window cladding.
Rear: From this perspective, the SUV’s Black edition includes a blacked-out skid plate, but otherwise, the majority of the components are the same.
Inside: With leatherette seats and a black dashboard, the interior adheres to the pitch-black concept.
Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition: Specs
The Scorpio N Black Edition will not undergo any mechanical changes from Mahindra. It will continue to offer a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine. Either a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox is mated to both powertrains.
More than 200 horsepower and up to 380 Nm of peak torque are produced by the petrol engine. On the other hand, the diesel engine generates 173 horsepower and can reach a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The diesel engine in the base models is tuned down to produce 132 horsepower and 300 Nm, and it is only mated to a manual transmission.
Expected Price and Rivals
It is anticipated that the Scorpio N Black Edition will cost more than the standard model, which currently sells for between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 24.69 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
In addition, the Mahindra SUV competes with the Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Hyundai CRETA, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
