Specifications

In addition to supporting eSIM or Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), the Vivo V40 is a Dual SIM. With a 6.78-inch AMOLED, HDR10+ screen, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits—60.7% more than the previous generation—the phone offers a sharp and colourful display in direct sunlight.

The phone’s internal components include an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4 nm) CPU, an Adreno 720 GPU, 12GB of RAM (which can be practically increased by a further 12GB), and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone is powered by a Li-Ion 5500 mAh non-removable battery that supports 80W wired fast charging—as well as reverse wired charging—and runs Android 14 with Funtouch 14. The vivo V40 is the thinnest vivo phone to date, with a massive battery and a thickness of 7.58 mm.

The gadget is durable in a variety of conditions thanks to its IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance.

The Vivo V40 features a 50MP camera on the front and two 50MP cameras on the rear. The cameras can all record in 4K at 30 frames per second. The phone’s primary focus is its cameras. It is carefully designed to fulfil the high requirements jointly established by ZEISS and Vivo for professional-level portrait photography. According to the business, this will enable users to take breathtaking photos and cinematic-quality films, even in dimly lit environments. By reducing blur, the cameras’ Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) produces consistently bright and clear photos.

A range of ZEISS Style Bokeh effects are available on the V40, each one skilfully crafted to add a distinctive and sophisticated visual appeal to user portraits. Building upon this framework, the AI Aura Light Portrait function provides expert lighting that is ideal for portraiture in low light. With accurate and realistic fill light, the improved AI 3D Studio Lighting improves image quality, making it perfect for backlighting and indoor environments.

There is no audio jack on the V40. It supports Bluetooth V5.4, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, dual-band, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, and more.

Availability, price, and color
