Umapathy Ramaiah, the son of actor-director Thambi Ramaiah, and actress Arjun Sarja’s daughter Aishwarya Arjun are wed. After dating for a few years, the pair was married in a small ceremony in Chennai on June 10.
Umapathy, Aishwarya got married:
Aishwarya and Umapathy announced their marriage and shared photos from their wedding on Instagram. Both of them posted “10.06.2024” along with the evil eye and sparkling emojis. Umapathy chose to wear an ivory dhoti pair, but Aishwarya looked stunning in a traditional red and gold pattu saree.
The pair posted amusing photos of themselves together searching for a ring in a water pot, Umapathy tying the taali (holy thread), and Aishwarya attempting to garland Umapathy. The wedding took place in Chennai’s Anjanasuta Sri Yoganjaneyaswamy Mandir between nine and ten in the morning.
In 2021, Aishwarya and Umapathy crossed paths on her father Arjun’s reality show Survivor Tamil. Following their engagement, on October 28, 2023, the pair exchanged vows in a small ceremony.
Pre-Wedding Events:
On June 7, the mehendi, sangeet, and haldi ceremonies were held at Arjun’s Chennai home. For the haldi, Aishwarya wore a straightforward white kurta; for the mehendi, she changed into a vivid yellow dress. Umapathy chose a black sherwani for the special event.
In photos that made their way online, the couple and Arjun, who was constantly kissing his daughter, looked joyful. June 7 was the day for the haldi and mehendi, while June 8 was the day for the sangeet. Other celebrities, including Vishal, also attended the sangeet. On June 14, the couple will have a celebration at Leela Palace.
