The flood of Pixel leaks shows no sign of slowing down as we approach Google’s August 13 event. The latest leak is a new video showcasing the Pixel Watch 3 series, revealing its hardware, features, and confirming that the charger will remain unchanged.
We already have extensive details about the Pixel Watch 3. Google’s upcoming smartwatch will feature slimmer bezels, a larger 45mm size option, and enhanced Fitbit functionalities with a new emphasis on running, among other updates. A recently leaked video consolidates these details into an engaging clip.
The video, which was posted by Android Headlines, concentrates on Google’s new smartwatch this time around but includes the same music track that was leaked along with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
In terms of new information, the video offers the clearest view yet of the hardware and updated display bezels, highlighting the size difference between the 41mm and 45mm variants and how the updated apps utilize the additional space.
Battery life isn’t mentioned as an advantage of the new size, but Google notes that the display is significantly brighter.
Regarding the charger, it appears there won’t be any changes this year. The same four-pin system from the Pixel Watch 2 and previous Fitbits is retained, as shown in the video. This is good news for users, as Google’s switch from a wireless charger on the first Pixel Watch to a pin-based system on the Watch 2 caused some inconvenience. Consistency is crucial, and it’s reassuring that Google seems to have settled on this system.
The video also demonstrates some of the new running features in action, detailing “real-time advice” while running, ground contact time, and stride length.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 is set to debut at the company’s Made By Google event on August 13, with rumors suggesting it will start at the same $349 price point as previous generations.
