Anand Mahindra is not one to hold back while complimenting a new invention. The chairman of the Mahindra Group frequently publishes posts about concepts or cutting-edge technology that have impressed him. The industrialist posted a few images of himself riding a bicycle on X (previously Twitter), adding to a long record of those. It was not just any bicycle, either. It was the “world’s first foldable diamond frame e-bike” and was developed by a group of students from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
Mahindra acknowledged that he had invested in the startup company founded by IIT Bombay students. The team created the first foldable diamond e-bike with full-size wheels, which the business tycoon cheered and he also said that it is 35% more efficient than other foldable bikes.
Mahindra was seen driving the Hornback X1 about his workplace complex. “A group of IIT Bombay students have once again made us proud. They have developed the first folding diamond frame e-bike in the entire globe with full-size wheels. In addition to being 35% more efficient than comparable folding bikes, this also increases the bike’s stability at speeds greater than medium. Additionally, it is the only bike that can be folded without needing to be lifted. I drove my own HORNBACK X1 around the workplace complex. (I have invested in their startup, full disclosure.) Both Amazon and Flipkart sell Hornback, he noted in the post’s caption.
Once again, a group of men from IIT Bombay have done us proud. They have developed the first folding diamond frame e-bike in the entire globe with full-size wheels. In addition to being 35% more efficient than comparable folding bikes, this also increases the bike’s stability at speeds greater than medium.
The post has received over nine lakh views since it was uploaded yesterday, and social media users praised the creativity.
