Under DMCC’s leadership a new AI center in uptown Tower advances AI adoption within the MENA region by supporting the UAE’s objective to implement AI across public services by 2031. The center provides a shared work environment along with meeting facilities and an AI presentation space that helps both start-ups and emerging technology sectors in Dubai.
Overview of the Launch
DMCC introduced this new platform to encourage artificial intelligence (AI) adoption as well as practical AI application development in the MENA region. A gathering of 60 prominent attendants such as H.E. Khalfan Belhoul (the DMCC CEO) and Dr. Marwan Alzarouni (the DDEAT’s Chief AI Officer) alongside Dubai Future Foundation’s CEO along with global ambassadors, ministers and representatives from AI corporations marked the event.
H.E. Khalfan Belhoul confirmed the new initiative operates within the framework of the UAE’s National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence which seeks to establish the nation as a worldwide AI leader by 2031. He identified the AI Centre as a critical development which would pull new businesses to Dubai while advancing innovation across emerging technologies throughout the city.
The DMCC AI Centre functions from two stores located within DMCC’s Uptown Tower headquarters. The new center exists as an integrated development with DMCC’s Crypto Centre and Gaming Centre at its location. The center provides state-of-the-art facilities consisting of co-working spaces together with advanced meeting areas as well as an AI solution exhibition hall.
Global AI Companies and Partnerships
The launch event built on the existing success as DMCC had previously lured 50 AI and robotics companies such as AMD, Autel Robotics and HIKVISION along with Laipic and QX Lab AI to the Dubai trading sector. The center established partnership agreements with essential players in the AI field. Builder.ai joined DMCC members by partnering with its founder Sachin Duggal to provide AI-driven application development capabilities. The UAE-based AGCC prepared to host accelerator programs which included a $100,000 prize competition at the Expand North Star event in Dubai for startup AI projects dedicated to sustainability.
Economic Potential of AI
Ahmed Bin Sulayem described how AI will drive $15 trillion economic value throughout the global marketplace during the next ten years. According to him the AI Centre would serve to connect AI and non-AI businesses through advanced AI service solutions which benefit the whole network of investors and partners. Business activity inside DMCC’s economic network would gain momentum as a result.
Sachin Dev Duggal from Builder.ai as its Chief Wizard shared his positive outlook toward the partnership since AI holds major industrial potential for true business empowerment. DMCC has earned recognition from him for creating Dubai into a worldwide center of technological innovation while providing businesses newfound capabilities to implement advanced AI solutions.
AI’s Role in Global Trade
The Future of Trade 2024 report by DMCC illustrated how artificial intelligence would revolutionize global business by lowering expenses while enhancing supply chains and automating services and unifying with Internet of Things (IoT), 5G networks, and cloud technology. Researchers project an acceleration of these innovative developments to strongly improve both trade operations and productivity.
Supply chains obtain optimized functionality through Artificial Intelligence which substantially cuts costs and enhances trade productivity between other capabilities including service automation and market analysis capabilities and real-time monitoring of competition.
