Along with the release of the iPhone 16 series, Apple is expected to introduce its third “Ultra” watch in September 2024, according to a Macrumors story supported by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The story claims Apple will also unveil the third-generation Apple Watch SE, which will be reasonably priced.

It appears that Apple may adhere to a biennial launch cadence for the Watch SE while launching the Watch Ultra series on a yearly basis. According to Bloomberg, the eagerly awaited Apple Watch X should also debut in 2024 or 2025.

The Watch Ultra 3’s features and specifications are still largely unknown. It may have a same design to its predecessor, but with an upgraded chip and larger battery.

The main Apple wristwatch at the moment is the Watch Ultra 2 (review). This tough smartwatch features a 1.92-inch OLED display shielded by sapphire crystal glass, and an aerospace-grade Titanium case. This has a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits and a battery life of up to 36 hours.

The S9 processor, developed in-house, is the most potent silicon ever found in an Apple Watch. The Watch Series 9 is likewise powered by this.

In addition to having an action button that can be customised, the Ultra 2 boasts all the functions of a standard Apple Watch, such as heart rate tracking, blood oxygen monitoring (in some markets), and an ECG. The Watch Ultra 3 is anticipated to be priced comparable to the existing Watch Ultra 2, which retails for Rs 89,900.
