The fact that Mahindra intends to release an updated XUV300 shortly is no secret. Mahindra previewed the redesigned XUV300 on social media earlier this month, revealing that the compact SUV will now be known as the “XUV 3XO” with its new design.

This is the first significant update for the XUV300, which was first introduced in 2018. It will debut on April 29. The XUV 3XO will have numerous physical improvements in addition to some new functions, in addition to a new name. Mahindra has officially teased the XUV 3XO ahead of its launch, showcasing a new feature inside the sub-4-meter SUV.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Innovative remote climate management:

It is clear from earlier spy photos that the Mahindra XUV 3XO would have many functional and visual changes over the existing generation. Mahindra has disclosed that the next XUV300 facelift will include a new climate control system that can be remotely managed via a smartphone in the most recent teaser.

Although vehicles like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon already come with remote automated climate control in their respective kits, the XUV 3XO won’t be the first in its class to acquire this technology. This function is a part of the package of linked automobile features included in the AdrenoX Connect, which Bosch co-developed. As a result, customers can use their smartphones or smartwatches to adjust the interior temperature.

Additional features expected for the XUV 3XO include warmed front seats, a 10.2-inch instrument dashboard, a larger 10.2-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and premium audio. It is expected that the vehicle will have six airbags, an electronic stability program, and traction control. It will be interesting to see whether Mahindra offers ADAS as an option for the XUV 3XO’s higher-spec trims.

Expected engine specifications for the Mahindra XUV 3XO:

Mahindra is probably going to stick with the same range of powertrain options as the XUV300. The same 1.2-liter turbocharged engine producing 109 horsepower and 200 Nm of peak torque will be available as an option for petrol engines, as well as an upgraded 1.2-liter T-GDI mStallion turbo engine producing 128 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

Mahindra will still sell a 1.5-liter diesel engine with a maximum torque of 300 Nm and 115 horsepower. There will be a 6-speed AMT or 6-speed manual transmission options. There are rumors that a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission from Aisin will also be offered as an option. There may be plans to build an all-electric XUV 3XO that will rank lower than the current XUV400 Pro.
