Aiming to be recognized as top producers of electric vehicles globally, Hyundai and Kia have been pushing the boundaries for a while now. The pair’s born electric portfolio shows the results of their hard work. The newest model in the group is the Kia EV3, which will make its worldwide debut on May 23, 2024. To offer a sneak peek at its future eSUV, Kia has officially issued teasers ahead of time.
Compact electric SUV Kia EV3 teased:
Kia officially unveiled the EV3 and EV4 concepts not too long ago. The EV4 follows a different path and is an electric crossover sedan in the style of the EV3, which is an electric SUV. Kia has teased the production-spec EV3 for the first time. It is very likely that EV3 will reach our shores. It will be positioned down in the Kia EV6’s electric offering upon introduction.
The teaser photos display the EV3’s external design, highlighting its strong, bold, and geometric features. These images further highlight the dynamic appearance of the car. The unique Star Map illumination, tailgate, and boxy rear fenders of the Kia EV3 add to its distinct look.
The front LED headlights and DRLs have been somewhat changed compared to the Kia EV3 concept. Rear, however, appears to have remained as it did in the original concept. The body’s shaping follows Kia’s renowned “Opposites United” design concept. The flagship EV9 and other Kia vehicles have the same design language.
The EV3 appears to fit in with Kia’s goal of expanding its EV line to include more reasonably priced options for the general public while incorporating cutting-edge technologies. With EV3, Kia promises a wide range of features. Interior features should include eco-friendly elements and a minimalist design concept similar to that of the EV6.
What can we expect from the Kia EV3?
The success of the Kia EV3 is crucial. Kia wants to provide the smaller SUV market, where the EV3 will be positioned, with an enhanced customer experience that is patterned after its flagship vehicles. We expect the Kia EV3 to be about 4.2 meters long, slightly larger than the Sonet and slightly smaller than the Seltos, given that Kia is referring to it as a “compact SUV.” Return the Mahindra XUV400.
With this size quotient, the price should be reasonably cheap. In this sense, EV3 has the potential to accelerate the shift to electric vehicles and significantly improve the company’s growing public image as an electric vehicle producer.
The Kia EV6 is scheduled to debut later this year and go on sale immediately. The world premiere takes place on May 23, 2024, later this month. A 40 kWh to 45 kWh battery pack should provide approximately 150 horsepower of power to the motor, enabling for a 400 km to 500 km range on a single charge.
