A new typing indicator has begun to be implemented on WhatsApp. Users can now see that someone is typing something thanks to the new indication. Through an update, the capability is now available to all users on the iOS and Android devices. Both one-on-one and group conversations can use the new typing indicator.
WhatsApp new typing indicator: What has changed
You must be aware that the concept of inputting an indicator is not new if you use WhatsApp. The typing indicator was always present on the platform. The indicator used to read “Typing…” when it was positioned beneath the name.
With the upgrade, though, it now appears as a bubble with three dots (—) at the bottom of the profile image and chat screen.
The purpose of the function is to improve conversation interaction in real time. Users may more easily observe who is actively participating in the chat thanks to this feature.
In group conversations, the feature lets users see who is now typing and present.
WhatsApp Voice message transcript
Recently, WhatsApp added the ability to record voice messages for iOS and Android. Within conversations, the feature automatically transcribes voice messages that have been received. Currently, the feature is accessible in Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
