Alan Jackson conveyed an amazing dawn, dusk second at the 2021 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 18) when he spread over a long period of parent-kid recollections with a two-tune variety of “Drive” and “You’ll Always Be My Baby.”
The Country Music Hall of Famer started his presentation with his 2002 No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay diagram, “Drive (For Daddy Gene).” While that tune was devoted to Jackson’s late dad Eugene, the second tune he played – the as of late delivered “You’ll Always Be My Baby (Written For Daughters’ Weddings)” – was written for his girls, with photographs of them (and Jackson’s better half Denise) supporting the enthusiastic execution.
“You’ll Always Be My Baby” will be included on Jackson’s forthcoming collection Where Have You Gone. While Jackson isn’t selected at the current year’s ACM Awards, he’s been a many-time champ in his profession, including three successes for male entertainer of the year – in 1995, 1996 and 2002.
