The winner of this year’s Miss America title is an Alabama nursing student.

Over the weekend, Orlando’s Walt Disney Theatre in Florida hosted the 2025 Miss America and Miss America’s Teen pageants.

Who Won Miss America 2025?

Abbie Stockard, 22, impressed judges on Sunday and became the fourth Alabaman to win Miss America.

Alabama was also successful in Miss America Teen, where Ali Mims became first runner-up behind Arkansas’s Peyton Bolling, the winner.

In her new role as Miss America advocate, Stockard will succeed 2024 winner Madison Marsh, and she will have the chance to tour the world during her 12-month tenure.

“I believe we need to encourage those (people) to join the workforce, adapt to new skills and learn to grow in our current workforce and industries we have today,” she explained per CNN.

Ahead of the final in Florida, Stockard took to Instagram to reflect on her journey.

“Tonight, a new Miss America will be crowned. As I step into this evening, I am filled with excitement, honor, and gratitude,” she explained in a post.

“Thanking the Lord for placing me here this week and giving me one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Regardless of the outcome, I want to express my deepest thanks to my friends, family, the amazing Miss Alabama board, and the wonderful people of Alabama for making me feel so appreciated and loved. I hope I’ve made you proud and represented you well,” she added, before sharing a quote from the Bible.

What Is the Prize Money for Miss America 2025?

The Miss America Scholarship Foundation, in partnership with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, awarded this year’s winner a $50,000 tuition scholarship.

Go Red for Women seeks to increase national awareness of fitness and health activities and to increase awareness of women’s heart health.

Each of the top four finishers was awarded a $10,000 scholarship.

Who Were the Runners Up for Miss America 2025?

First runner-up was Annette Addo-Yobo, the first delegate from outside the country to win Miss Texas.

The top five was completed by the representatives of Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee.
