In an effort to improve usability and streamline navigation, Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp has redesigned its Communities menu. The update also aims to facilitate user access to Communities and the group chats that are connected to them.

Cleaner, Compact Design

Each section of the Communities tab takes up less space because to its more condensed structure. By doing this, excessive scrolling will be reduced and the user with more Communities will be able to appear on a single page. In the past, users had to search through lengthy lists in order to locate particular communities or chats.

Quick Access to Group Chats

Now, each community has a button next to its name that allows users to access all related group chats with a single press. Users can also view recent activity for each community, which keeps them informed without requiring a lot of navigation.

Simplified Navigation Features

By effectively arranging information, the updated interface puts convenience first. While keeping a clean appearance, it shows recent group chats, making it easy for users to choose the community or group they want.

Gradual Rollout to Users

The new Communities tab is being progressively made available to a wider audience after first being made available to a restricted group of beta testers. WhatsApp’s dedication to improving its platform for increased customer happiness is demonstrated by this improvement.

This version improves the functioning of the app, especially for users who manage many Communities, by emphasising compactness, clarity, and ease of navigation.

The smartphone will be unveiled on January 23, 2025, in the United States at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Three high-end models—the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra—are anticipated to be released under the series.
