Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been rolling out new festive editions across its lineup in recent weeks. Following the release of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Urban Cruiser Taisor, and Glanza festive editions, the company has now extended this special variant to the Rumion MPV, which is basically the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with a new name.
Much like the other festive editions, the standard Toyota Rumion has been upgraded with a package of accessories. Features from the Toyota Genuine Accessory (TGA) package, which costs Rs. 20,608, are included in the Rumion Festive Edition. However, as part of a Diwali promotion, Toyota is offering the package at no additional cost, enhancing both the exterior and interior aesthetics of the MPV.
This festive edition of the Toyota Rumion includes various upgrades such as mud flaps, floor mats, chrome door visors, and a roof-mounted spoiler. Additional design enhancements come in the form of new garnishes on the tailgate, rear bumper, headlights, license plate area, and body side mouldings, giving the MPV a refreshed look. It’s worth mentioning that this limited edition will only be available until the end of the month.
The 1.5-liter petrol engine that powers the Toyota Rumion Festive Edition may be mated to either a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission or a five-speed manual gearbox. The petrol version delivers 102 bhp and 137 Nm of torque, while the CNG variant produces 87 bhp and 121 Nm of torque. The CNG version is also available as part of the offering.
According to Toyota, the petrol variant achieves a fuel efficiency of up to 20.51 kmpl, while the CNG version delivers an impressive 26.11 km per kg. Customers have the option to choose from three trims: S, G, and V. Pricing for the standard model ranges between Rs. 10.44 lakh and Rs. 13.73 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Toyota Rumion comes loaded with a variety of features, including six airbags, projector headlamps, two-tone alloy wheels, vertical tail lamps, cruise control, Toyota i-Connect technology, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and a height-adjustable driver seat.
