The OnePlus 13 is set to debut in China next month, though the official launch date is yet to be announced. A recent leak indicates that the device will feature the same amount of RAM as its predecessor, but the variant with the highest RAM and storage might come with a steeper price tag. The upcoming OnePlus 13 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and may sport a 6.8-inch screen with 2K resolution.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 13 will offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. In contrast, the OnePlus 12, which comes with a maximum of 24GB RAM and 1TB storage in China, is available in India only in 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB variants. It’s speculated that the OnePlus 13’s top variant, with 24GB of RAM and likely 1TB storage, will be priced higher than its predecessor. The tipster also mentioned that the OnePlus 13 might be the only device among the first wave of flagship models to offer 24GB onboard RAM.

However, the OnePlus 12 isn’t the only device featuring 24GB of RAM, as brands like Realme, Xiaomi, and Motorola have also released models with similar specifications. This larger memory capacity enhances multitasking, AI-based functionalities, gaming performance, and photo/video editing capabilities. It also allows more apps to remain open in the background even during gaming sessions.

Other models like the Asus ROG Phone 8, OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, and Redmi K70 Extreme Edition also offer 24GB of RAM and 1TB storage in their top configurations, but these versions are exclusively available in China, with global models often capped at 16GB RAM.

As teased by OnePlus China’s president, Louis Lee, the OnePlus 13 is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and feature a 6.8-inch 2K screen. It may house a 6,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging and is anticipated to include a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main sensor.
