Ahead of its launch, Hyundai Motor has formally removed the covers from the forthcoming Alcazar SUV. Along with the news that reservations are now being accepted, the automaker unveiled three pictures of the updated version of its flagship three-row SUV today. On September 9, the 2024 Alcazar SUV will make its debut in India. Hyundai dealerships nationwide or online can be used to reserve the SUV for ₹25,000. Since the release of the redesigned Creta in January of this year, the Korean automaker has launched two significant products.
Hyundai debuted its first three-row SUV, the Alcazar, in India back in 2022. The Korean automaker has since sold about 75,000 of the model. It will still be available in the six- and seven-seat layouts as two seating arrangements. The Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari, among other three-row utility vehicles, are competitors of the Alcazar.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Variants and colours
The new Alcazar SUV from Hyundai Motor will be offered in four different configurations: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. The SUV will not be available with any exterior colour options, according to the automaker.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Design changes
The new generation Creta serves as a number of inspirations for the Hyundai Alcazar SUV. The new Alcazar will come equipped with Quad Beam LED headlight units and a new pair of H-shaped LED DRLs up front. The redesigned grille and larger skid plates give the front face a bolder appearance. Hyundai has given the SUV extra muscle at the flanks as well with new character lines. A fresh set of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels will be fitted to the SUV. The Alcazar will receive an upgraded bumper and skid plate, a new tailgate, a new spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and a new set of LED connected taillight units for the back end.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Features
Hyundai plans to upgrade the Alcazar’s features as well. The SUV will have over 70 connected car functions, according to the automaker. Anticipate the Alcazar facelift to include the same infotainment and digital driver display that were unveiled earlier this year in the new Creta generation. There will also be wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, seat ventilation, and other amenities.
Several cutting-edge safety systems will also be available for the Alcazar. There will be approximately 70 safety features total, with 40 of them being standard features.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Engine options
Hyundai will keep selling the new Alcazar with two engine options and two different gearbox configurations. A 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine will be mated to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox (DCT) or a six-speed manual gearbox. It can produce a maximum torque of 253 Nm and 158 horsepower. Six-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmissions will be coupled to the 1.5-liter U2 CRDi diesel engine. It has a maximum torque of 250 Nm and 113 horsepower.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Price
The base price of Hyundai’s Alcazar SUV is presently 16.77 lakh (ex-showroom), and the top-of-the-line Signature (O) seven-seater diesel automatic variant costs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
