India has seen the launch of China’s HONOUR 200 smartphone line. The two versions in the series are the HONOUR 200 and HONOUR 200 Pro. These two smartphones come equipped with AI-driven features like Magic Portal, which the manufacturer claims will improve user interaction by reading messages and directing users to the appropriate apps.

HONOR 200 series: AI features
Both smartphones come with AI-powered capabilities for media editing and photo improvement, such as the Night Portrait Mode, which makes use of AI to enhance portraits taken in low light. Furthermore, HONOUR announced that AI has been incorporated into the smartphone’s algorithm, enabling it to recognise face traits in photos and adjust them for various lighting conditions. Additionally, the company claims that its Instant Movie short video feature optimises the “core action capture algorithm” to provide a more realistic final product.
The MagicOS 8.0 user interface, which is based on Android and has numerous utility-based AI capabilities, powers the smartphones of the HONOUR 200 series. One of these is the Magic Portal function, which improves how users interact with their smartphones by deciphering messages and directing them to the appropriate apps. Other innovations include the iPhone’s Dynamic Island-style Magic Capsule, which lets users keep track of important events like calls, alerts, order delivery status, and more, and Magic Anywhere Door, which basically enhances file transfers within the device. Additionally, the smartphone supports Air Gestures, a function that lets users operate the device without touching it.
