This week, Oppo introduced the Reno 12 series in India. The Oppo Reno 12 Standard and Oppo Reno 12 Pro are the two smartphones in this range. The base version of the former costs Rs 32,999, while the Pro model starts at Rs 36,999.
A 120Hz refresh rate 6.7-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display powers the Oppo Reno12 Pro and Reno 12.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy platform is utilised by both smartphones. Operating on Android 14 with ColorOS 14.1 with three years of OS upgrades and four years of security fixes, the phone is a promising platform.
At a price of Rs 32,999, the Oppo Reno 12 goes up against the Vivo V30, which was introduced earlier this year. The starting price of the Vivo V30 is Rs 33,999. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 powers the V30, in contrast to the MediaTek chipset used in the Reno 12.
