BYD India has introduced new variants of the Atto 3 EV, expanding the lineup to three options: Dynamic, Premium, and Superior, compared to the previously single variant. The introductory price for the Dynamic variant starts at Rs 24.99 lakh, while the Superior trim is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2024 BYD Atto 3 has been launched with enhancements across the Dynamic, Performance, and Superior variants, following the positive customer response. The model now includes additional features and color options, and bookings can be made with a Rs 50,000 deposit, with deliveries beginning soon.
The Atto 3 comes with several feature and safety updates. The base Dynamic variant lacks the 8-speaker sound system and multi-color ambient lighting, but all three variants include a panoramic sunroof, a 5-inch digital drive display, and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Seating features include a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat and 60:40 split rear seats, and the vehicle rides on wider 235/15 R18 tires for improved grip. A new Cosmos Black paint scheme is now available, along with chrome window surrounds and distinctive ‘BYD’ badging on the tailgate, replacing the full ‘Build Your Dreams’ badge. Other color options include Ski White, Boulder Grey, and Surf Blue.
In terms of safety, the BYD Atto 3 comes standard with 7 airbags, an electronic stability program, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, hill descent control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The ADAS feature is available exclusively on the top-tier Superior trim.
The entry-level Dynamic trim features a 49.92 kWh battery pack offering a 468 km range on a single charge. The Premium and Superior variants are equipped with larger 60.48 kWh units, providing an ARAI-certified range of 521 km on a single charge. The Blade Battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 50 minutes using a DC charger. The Dynamic trim supports a 70 kWh DC charging option, while the Premium and Superior trims support 80 kWh charging options. The Dynamic trim accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds, while the top two variants achieve this in 7.3 seconds.
BYD India is also expanding its dealership network, which currently includes 26 showrooms across 23 cities. Besides the Atto 3, BYD’s passenger vehicle lineup includes the e6 and the newly launched BYD Seal, an all-electric sedan introduced in March 2024.
