The Vivo Y28e and its somewhat similar sibling, the Vivo Y28s, have been introduced to the Indian market featuring low cost pricing and a 5G network. A 6.56-inch, 720 by 1612, 90 Hz LCD touchscreen with 840 nits of peak brightness is featured on each of them.
The Y28s has 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM models with 128GB of internal storage space, while the Y28e has 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage space.The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC powers them, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W cable charging is included.
The primary camera section of the Y28s and Y28e differs significantly: the former has a 50 MP Sony IMX852 sensor, while the latter has a 13 MP camera of an unknown brand. A 2 MP secondary ornamental sensor included with both models. The Y28s boasts an 8 MP front camera, while the Y28e has a 5 MP front camera for selfies.
The Y28e has no fingerprint sensor at all, whereas the Y28s features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. Both variants are IP64 certified for dust and splash protection.
Breeze Green and Vintage Red are the available colours for the Y28e. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant costs INR 10,999 (about 135 USD and N206,000 in Nigeria), while the 128GB storage model costs INR 11,999 (approximately 145 USD and N226,000 in Nigeria).
