Oppo debuted the Reno 12 and Reno 12 in China last month. According to recent sources, the firm is getting ready to launch the Reno 12 series on the international market shortly. The business has now formally disclosed that June 18 will mark the global premiere of the Reno 12 and 12 Pro.

The Reno 12 series has been announced for June 27 in Malaysia, according to the Oppo Malaysia division. Thus, it seems that the launch event scheduled for June 18 is primarily intended for the European market. The Reno 12 series’ official landing page highlights features including design, portrait photography, Beacon Link, AI LinkBoost, and a long 5,000mAh battery life.

Numerous details regarding the Reno 12 and 12 Pro have already been made public by recent reports. A 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display with support for up to 1200 nits of brightness will be included on both phones. The base model will have a dual-edge screen, but the Pro variant will have a quad-curved screen. Both phones will include an in-screen fingerprint scanner and run Android 14, which is based on ColorOS 14.1.

The global versions of the Reno 12 and 12 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, as opposed to the Dimensity 8250 and Dimensity 9200+ found in the Chinese devices. LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 12 GB of virtual RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging will be included with both phones. While the Reno 12 will be offered in a 12GB+256GB option, the Pro model is anticipated to be offered in a 12GB+512GB configuration.

The front cameras on the Reno 12 and 12 Pro will be 32 megapixels and 50 megapixels, respectively. The 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary camera on the back of both phones will support OIS. The Reno 12 will include 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel auxiliary cameras, while the Pro version will have an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. In addition, both phones will include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, AI-driven photographic features, and an IR blaster.
