Sonakshi stated that even though she is currently in her 35th movie, her opinions have not changed.
Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series, made its Netflix debut on May 1. One thing that has always been praised is the broad range of roles that the performers have played. Sonakshi Sinha, who plays Fareedan, is especially noteworthy for the way she portrayed a complex and multifaceted character. She is primarily viewed as a bad person with a difficult history. Sonakshi disclosed in a recent interview that she is uncomfortable with kissing sequences and talked candidly about the kind of job she wants to perform.
Sonakshi stated, “I’m on my 35th film right now and I still stand there!” in an interview with E-Times. A good actor will never become jobless. I don’t think I have missed any kissing or personal scene-filled moments in my whole career.
“This is something I’m not comfortable doing,” I’ve always made it known to my director and the filmmaker I’m working with,” she continued. All of that is up to you. I’ll do the movie but we can work something out. If you’re still interested in moving forward with me and you think that as an actor, I could bring something to the table, we can work things out. If not, you are more than welcome to find someone else who feels comfortable performing that.
Recently, Sonakshi talked candidly about her previous professional decisions in an interview. She stated, “You have a responsibility as an artist,” in an interview with Zoom TV. You’re an inspiration to a lot of people. I firmly believe that, despite my young age, I had the chance to participate in a number of highly significant movies. At that moment, no one in their right mind could have said no. I completed them, but even then, some things felt odd. As you develop, people become aware of it, discuss it, and draw it to your notice. Although it is criticism, it is constructive.
Heeramandi, which is set against the backdrop of India’s independence movement, chronicles the tale of a few Lahore courtesans while touching on themes of freedom and love. Apart from Sonakshi, the Netflix series features noteworthy parts from Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal.
Sonakshi Sinha’s upcoming film is Kakuda, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem will also play important roles in this horror comedy.
