Reddit today revealed that it is introducing Reddit Pro, a toolkit designed to assist companies in developing a natural presence on the network. Reddit is preparing for its first public offering (IPO) at the same time as the debut. Reddit is probably aiming to increase the number of brands on its platform and potentially turn them into paid advertising with this new set of free features. With this launch, Reddit is providing free tools for businesses to use in their social media strategy for the first time.
Currently in beta testing, Reddit Pro provides businesses with an interface that includes several capabilities. Brands can know when they have been discussed in a subreddit thanks to the suite of products’ AI-powered insights that expose popular themes and conversations that are pertinent to their brand. The insights are meant to assist companies in starting dialogues with both current and potential customers. Additionally, brands may use the insights to guide how they show up on Reddit.
Businesses can also plan and schedule their public posts with the suite’s publishing features. According to the company, the tools will provide brands with easy steps to begin making contributions to communities. Additionally, the suite includes performance statistics that organisations can use to assess the effectiveness of their organic postings and improve their strategic planning. Through their Pro dashboard, businesses will be able to monitor their monthly success and overall engagement.
According to the startup, in addition to these features, businesses may increase the reach of their postings by monetizing them without ever leaving the platform. Businesses must click the “promote” button on one of their postings in order to accomplish this.
More than 200 companies, including Taco Bell, Wendy’s, the NFL, The Wall Street Journal, Kate Somerville, and Atlas Headrest, are reportedly using Reddit Pro, according to Reddit. Reddit discovered during early testing that companies utilising Reddit Pro generated 11 more posts and comments monthly and had, on average, a +35% increase in monthly upvotes for their organic content.
Reddit Chief Marketing and Consumer Experience Officer Roxy Young stated in the company’s announcement post, “With Reddit Pro, we’re connecting companies with communities in a mutually valuable way: unmatched insights and tools for enhanced participation from businesses, both organic and paid, which then drives more relevant and valuable experiences for our users.”
Businesses and organisations can access Reddit Pro on a first-come, first-served basis. The business has plans to release more Reddit Pro features this year, although it hasn’t disclosed any information about their potential features.
