WhatsApp, an instant messaging app, is frequently highlighted for testing new features on many platforms. According to WABetaInfo, the company is now testing an updated status updates tray user interface as part of its most recent effort to enhance the user experience. This upgrade may soon be available on the stable version of Android. In the near future, testers will be able to access the newly developed system updates tray.

The change was observed in the “Android 2.24.4.23” release, according to the report. The new status tray will be positioned at the top of the ‘Updates’ tab to make the status immediately available once the user enters the page, as seen in the report’s attached screenshot. Users will be able to preview the initial status from the thumbnail using the new user interface.

This will solve the issue with having to examine the contents of each update separately in the horizontal layout and allow users to view a preview of the changes via the tray thumbnail. The modification is intended to improve the ease of the status-viewing experience and update UI elements to better meet the user’s needs.

In a similar development, the business is releasing a feature to change the owner of a channel in the most recent Android and iOS beta versions. Through the channel data screen, users will be able to transfer ownership of a channel to trusted admins. The recipient will take ownership of the channel and be able to manage its contents as soon as they approve the request.

Users will be able to transfer tasks for a number of reasons with the help of this new functionality, such as time constraints, shifting priorities, and more. This action can also guarantee that the mentioned channel stays operational and active. To test the feature, you can update the version of the TestFlight app for iPhones to “iOS 24.4.10.70”. Testers can update WhatsApp to version “2.24.4.22” for Android.
